Announcement

Description :

Pursuant to Section 134(6) of the Companies Act, 2012, and by notices dated 20th

July 2023, 14th August 2023 and 30th August 2023, the Registrar of Companies

struck some companies off the register for failure to file annual returns for a period

of five years. The list of companies struck off the register can be accessed at our

website, www.ursb.go.ug.

Companies desirous of being restored onto the register are required to apply to the

Registrar of companies by 30th August 2024. Applications for restoration are

made through the Online Business Registration System (OBRS) accessible at

https://obrs.ursb.go.ug.

An applicant is required to create an individual account on OBRS and commence a

data update application in respect of their struck off company. He/she will be

prompted to make an application for restoration. Upon approval, he/she will be

able to update the company data, file beneficial ownership information (form 1) and

annual returns.

Companies that fail to apply for restoration by 30th August 2024 will be

deregistered and their names will be made available for use by other interested

applicants.
